What is Takamura Blade?
Opened in 1910, this knife manufacturing factory is located in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. They were the first to manufacture knives made from new materials such as powdered high-speed steel and powdered stainless high-speed steel, and began developing stainless steel knives over 50 years ago, which were still rare at the time. They have released many stainless steel knives that are hard and last a long time. The reputation of their sharpness spread quickly, and they are now used by top chefs around the world.
Product outline
This product is popular because the rough hammered pattern gives it a more handmade feel.
About Santoku Knives
Santoku knives are also called "all-purpose knives" because they have the characteristics of both a vegetable knife and a chef's knife, and are suitable for cutting a wide range of ingredients, including not only vegetables and fruits, but also meat and fish. Having one Santoku knife is very convenient.
What is Chromax steel?
Chrome is added to the maximum extent possible to bring out the properties of steel. Chrome Max = Chromax! It does not rust as much as an iron knife, but it is not as rust-resistant as stainless steel.
