About the Knife Gallery

Knife Gallery main image

Knife Gallery offers a  selection of knives created by the finest Japanese cutlery artists. We choose high quality knives based on a direct dialogue with blacksmiths and a deep understanding of their skills and passions. As we ourselves are involved in sharpening knives, we base our selection on performance, beauty, and ease of use as tools.

Knife Gallery also has original blades that we ourselves make, providing customers with appropriate product selection and after-sales support from our own perspective as a manufacturer.

We hope that our knives, which are made with traditional Japanese techniques and the souls of our craftsmen, will make your cooking time even more enjoyable and uplifting. We hope that you will come across that special knife at our Knife Gallery.

About Ironclad

Our mission at Knife Gallery is to deliver high quality Japanese kitchen knives and knives to Japan and abroad.

We launched Ironclad out of a desire to reaffirm the excellence of the Japanese "monozukuri" spirit and to encourage people overseas to use Japan's excellent kitchen knives.

Ironclad carefully selects products that demonstrate the Japanese spirit and craftsmanship in terms of safety and hygiene, consideration for the cooking environment, and quality of materials, and brings the value of these products to families around the world.

In 2014, we launched our first original brand "Kotetsu" and began selling our products in Japan and abroad. We operate with a commitment to quality and responsibility as a manufacturer by carefully selecting our knives through dialogue with blacksmiths and by handling products that are filled with the thoughts of our craftsmen.

IRONCLAD

Original Brand

We have developed our original brand through our Knife Gallery, and our Kotetsu lineup, created in 2014, is the result of our single-minded dedication to sharpening techniques. We are also developing “West Japan Tools,” a line of kitchen tools that make cooking more enjoyable and profound, including frying pans and knife bags, as well as “TinkerKnives” and “Kohkyu” knives that are different from Kotetsu. Please check out our “TinkerKnives” and "Tsunekyu."
